Simple Step Process

1. Theory Test

To start off the process, you need to pass your theory test which tests you on the Highway Code and theory of instructing a pupil.

3. Instructional Ability

The instructional ability test ensures that you are able to instruct a student. This is the final test which you need to complete.

2. Practical Test

The practical test evaluates your driving ability, you need to complete this within two years of passing your theory test.

4. Instructor Licence

After completing all three parts, DVSA will issue you with a provisional license, allowing you to progress further on your journey.
